BRIEFING AND PROCEDURE

Kaiser specialties brewed at Hofbräu Kaltenhausen.

Speciality beers under the Kaiser brand are now brewed at Hofbräu Kaltenhausen again and this connection is reflected in the adapted Kaiser brand logo and the addition ‘from Hofbräu Kaltenhausen’.

The project task was to design a new sub-brand with the aim of clearly differentiating between the different types of beer. The declared aim was to emphasise the unique character of the craft beer specialities and at the same time, with the Kaiser brand at the centre, to clearly communicate the origin from Hofbräu Kaltenhausen. The new look was to create a contemporary fusion of the two brand worlds and thus establish a new visual identity.

Hofbräu Kaltenhausen is located at the foot of the mountains named Barmsteine near Hallein, which is why this striking rock formation can now also be found as a subtle, iconic representation in the label design.
